Guess What!?

I’m down to 203.4!!! That’s 4 pounds this week. I would say I was shocked, but 203/204 was my guess. I really have not been hungry while eating only meats and veggies, so it’s really cut my caloric intake as well. I always plateau around 205, so I am extremely happy I just passed right over that. I’m hoping the plateau doesn’t show its ugly face next week though. I’m going away for the weekend with a bunch of people who like to drink and party, so this weekend is really going to be a test. I feel as though the number on the scale this morning just gave me the will power to get through it though. I made it through three nights out last weekend and said no to alcohol every time. I know I can do it. I need to do it. Ahhhh I can’t wait to see 199!

I did it! I said no to alcohol all weekend even though I was surrounded by it. Just gotta get through later today and I will be so proud of myself. I’m on a mission and empty alcohol calories are not going to hinder that!

And The Scale Says…

207.4! WOO HOO! That’s 3.6 pounds in a week! Apparently kicking nuts and fruit, except for the occassional smoothie, really makes a difference. And the fact that I’ve been under 1200 calories most days probably helps. I’m not even trying to restrict my calories that much, but I’m just not hungry. I have also been going to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, incorporating moderate cardio with either a short strength session or some type of Crossfit AMRAP. I should mention that I’ve also been doing intermittent fasting of 16 hours off 8 hours on. For me this typically means that I am done eating by 7 or 8pm and I don’t eat until 11am or 12pm the next day. Apparently all this combined is working great for my body and I feel AMAZING! My goal for next week is 1-2 pounds, so hopefully this all continues to work!

Endoscopic Discectomy

It’s been 4 months since I herniated my disc and it is not progressing how I had hoped. I always swore I would never let anyone cut into my back, but I have recently come across this new procedure called an endoscopic disecectomy. Basically the surgeon goes in through an extremely small incision with a camera and a light and then takes out the protruding disc fluid with claw like things. It takes less than an hour and then they place a band-aid over the small hole. My mood has been faltering a little as of late because I am so fed up with not being able to no my normal activities or stand up and teach a class! So needless to say, I’m considering having this done. I found a surgeon near me that specializes in only this and made an appointment to see him on June 11th. I’ve reached desperation mode, I can’t deal with this pain any longer, and I want my life back. Hopefully this is the answer. Anyone have this done or know anyone who has had it done?

Going Downnnn!

My weight that is. I hopped on the scale this morning because I couldn’t wait until Friday. I’m down to 208.8! This week I have gone hardcore paleo, sticking to only lean meats and vegetables. I’ve pushed the fruit and nuts to the side and plan on keeping it that way for a while. Clearly kicking them to the curb makes a huge difference. Without them though I find it quite difficult to get my suggested number of calories each day, but I don’t care. I’m full, so I don’t see it being a problem. I’m hoping that I’m down to 208 by Friday. That will be 3 pounds in a week, which is completely normal since I haven’t dropped weight in a while. I’m really hoping that my weight continues to drop 1-2 pounds a week, but we shall see how it goes!

Weekly Update

I am still at 211 pounds. Mainly because I screwed around a lot last week with alcohol. I have been really set on preparing all my own meals this week though, so I know exactly what I am putting into my body. I have parties and shit to go to this weekend, but I will have will power and resist the urge to drink. I promise you the scale will move next week.
